Atomic Energy Department Tenders 2 MW Rooftop Solar Project in Rajasthan

The Department of Atomic Energy has invited bids for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2 MW of rooftop solar systems, along with five years of comprehensive maintenance, at the Nuclear Fuel Complex (KOTA) in Rawatbhata, Rajasthan.
The last date to submit bids is June 10, 2026. Bids will be opened on June 12.
Bidders must submit ₹1.7 million (~$17,599) as an earnest money deposit.
Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee equal to 5% of the tendered value, valid for two years and extendable up to ten years and six months within a period of seven days from the date of issue of the letter of award.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹85 million (~$879,954).
The project must be completed within 10 months of the 15th day following contract award.
Power generated from the solar project is intended for the captive use of NFC Kota’s internal electrical network and is not directly interconnected with the state distribution company’s grid.
Bidders should have completed during the last seven years, one similar work of value not less than ₹68 million (~$703,963), or two similar works each costing not less than ₹51 million (~$527,972), or three similar works each costing not less than ₹34 million (~$351,982).
The average annual financial turnover for construction works and works contracts should be at least 100% of the estimated cost during the immediately preceding three financial years.
They should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last five-year period ending with the last financial year.
Bidders should have a solvency of at least ₹34 million (~$351,982).
Solar modules for the project must be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List I, and solar cells must be from the ALMM List II.
The panels should be bifacial, half-cut, TOPCON, or superior panels (superior technologies will include HJT, IBC, or other next-generation cell technologies) with average cell efficiency ≥ 23%.
The solar modules installed under this contract should be warranted for a minimum output peak watt capacity of not less than 90% of the rated capacity at the end of 10 years from the date of commissioning; and not less than 80% of the rated capacity at the end of 25 years from the commissioning date.
In February this year, the Department of Atomic Energy invited bids for the operation and maintenance of a 12 MW solar power project at its heavy water plant in Manuguru, Hyderabad.
