Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam (AVVNL) has invited bids from solar power generators for the design, survey, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance (O&M) of  94.1 MW of ground-mounted solar projects under Component C of the PM-KUSUM program.

Bids must be submitted by January 16, 2025. Bids will be opened on January 17.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹100,000 (~$1,177) and a performance bank guarantee of ₹500,000 (~$5,887)/MW valid for 18 months and extendable as per project requirements.

Selected bidders will receive central financial assistance of 30% of the project cost, capped at ₹10.5 million (~$123,638)/MW.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹35 million (~$412,127)/MW.

Selected bidders must connect the projects to the nearby 33/11 kV substations with the associated grid infrastructure. They must also manage metering, grid connectivity, and real-time data transmission to national and state-level platforms.

They must complete the project within 18 months of issuing of the Letter of Award (LoA) and provide O&M services for 25 years.

Successful bidders will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement with AVVNL.

Individual bidders must have assets worth 20% of the project cost.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹10.5 million (~$123,638)/MW over the last three financial years (FY 2021 to FY 2023).

A total of 36 solar projects will be installed across multiple regions, including Udaipur, Chittorgarh, and Jhunjhunu, with a minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 19% per year.

All projects must integrate with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s solar monitoring system through remote monitoring solutions.

Recently, AVVNL invited bids for the design, supply, survey, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of 269 MW grid-connected solar power projects under Component A of the PM KUSUM program.

In March this year, AVVNL floated four tenders to set up 768.4 MW of solar power projects under Component C of the PM-KUSUM program.
