Agra Civic Body Invites Bids for 7.5 MW Solar Projects

Agra Nagar Nigam has issued an engineering, procurement, and construction request for proposal to set up a 7.5 MW solar project across four sites in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
The projects will be set up at the following locations:
- Kanha Gaushala, Tedhi Bagiya, with a capacity of 2 MW
- Jal Kal 1st, Jeoni Mandi, with a capacity of 750 kW
- Jal kal 2nd, Sikandra, with a capacity of 750 kW
- Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) plant, Chalesar, with a capacity of 4 MW
Bids must be submitted by December 8, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹7.27 million (~$81,450.68) and a tender fee of ₹29,500 (~$330.51).
Selected bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the contract value.
The project’s estimated cost is ₹363.4 (~$4.07 million).
The scope of work entails the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. It also includes operation and maintenance services for five years.
Selected bidders must provide evacuation of energy generated from solar projects at Kanha Gaushala and the MSW plant, terminating at the 33 kV Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam substation via a 33 kV underground cable.
They must provide civil, electrical, and mechanical equipment, including spares, which will be separately provided at each site per tender terms and conditions.
The project must be completed within nine months.
Successful bidders must install supervisory control and data acquisition systems for the project.
Bidders must have completed any of the following works in the last three financial years:
- Three solar projects with minimum individual capacities of 1.5 MW
- Two projects with minimum individual capacities of 2 MW
- One project with a minimum individual capacity of 3 MW
Bidders must have had a minimum net worth of ₹60 million (~$672,220) in the previous financial year. They must have had an annual average turnover of at least ₹150 million (~$1.68 million) in the preceding three financial years.
In May this year, the Agra Nagar Nigam issued an EPC tender for 7.5 MW solar projects at four locations in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. In March, it had proposed a ₹500 million (~$5.8 million) municipal bond issue to part-finance these solar projects.
