In the month of March, there were 1,000 MW of solar retendered, 4.5 MW newly tendered projects and 47.5 MW of solar that went to auction. Compared to February, when only 71 MW of solar was tendered but 750 MW of solar was auctioned.
The Northeast Frontier Railway tendered a 1 MW solar rooftop project in Bongaigaon, Assam, to be constructed atop the Carriage & Wagon Workshop.
Sambhar Salts, a subsidiary of Hindustan Salts, a government-owned salt company, has tendereda 1 MW solar project to be developed on turnkey basis at their facility in Rajasthan. The Military Engineer Services tendered a 1 MW solar project to be constructed in Ambala.
The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) retendered 1,000 MW of solar in March in two separate announcements, the 750 MW at the Pavagada Solar Park in Karnataka, under the Open Category, and 250 MW at the Pavagada Solar Park under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) category.
The NTPC also tendered 1.5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar to be developed at the NTPC Kudgi Stage-I premises.
