<p>The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (<a href="https://www.bhel.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BHEL</a>) has issued two tenders for operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) services. It has invited bids for the O&amp;M works for the West Bengal Electricity Distribution Company Limited&#8217;s (<a href="https://www.wbsedcl.in/irj/go/km/docs/internet/new_website/Home.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WBSEDCL</a>) 10 MW solar power project in Bankura district of West Bengal for 41 months.</p>
<p>The project&#8217;s estimated cost is ₹9.57 million (~$131,637). Bidders will have to submit ₹227,000 (~$3,122) as the earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to submit 5% of the work order as the performance security deposit.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is March 2, 2021.</p>
<p>Bidders should have experience executing similar works in the last seven years. They should have completed three similar works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, or two similar projects of 50% of the estimated cost, or a single project of 80% of the project&#8217;s estimated cost. Any vendor against whom BHEL has initiated action due to non-performance is not eligible for participation.</p>
<p>The bidders&#8217; average annual financial turnover during the last three years should be 30% of the notice inviting tender (NIT) value.</p>
<p>In another tender, BHEL invited bids for O&amp;M works for the West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited&#8217;s (<a href="https://wbpdcl.co.in/irj/go/km/docs/documents/PDCL/FINAL/Pages/Home.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WBPDCL</a>) 5 MW floating solar PV project at Sagardighi Thermal Power Project in Murshidabad district of West Bengal for 62 months.</p>
<p>The project&#8217;s estimated cost is ₹20.23 million (~$278,267). Bidders will have to pay an amount of ₹480,000 (~$6,602) as the earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to submit 5% of the work order amount as the performance security deposit.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is March 03, 2021. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>The eligibility criteria are the same as mentioned above for the first tender.</p>
<p>In October last year, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-floats-om-tender/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> an O&amp;M tender for its 50 MW solar power project at Kadiri, Ananthapur, in Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>Earlier, BHEL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-tenders-for-40-mw-of-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> O&amp;M tenders for two solar projects. The first tender was for the O&amp;M of a 10 MW solar power project at Charanka in Gujarat for ten years. The other was for Singareni Collieries Company Limited&#8217;s 30 MW solar project located at Manuguru in Telangana for 123 months.</p>
<p>According to Mercom&#8217;s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, BHEL has so far floated nearly 311 MW of solar O&amp;M tenders.</p>
