<p>Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (<a href="http://www.bhel.com/index.php/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">BHEL</a>) has floated a tender for 5 MW of power conditioning units (PCU) for <a href="https://www.ntpc.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">NTPC Limited</a>’s 20 MW solar project in Gandhar, Gujarat.</p>
<p>The last date for submission of quotes is August 17, 2020. The tender called for four 3-phase grid-connected PCUs housed in one 5 MW container or two 2.5 MW containers.</p>
<p>Quotations were invited under a two-part bid system for the supply, installation, and commissioning of these units along with a comprehensive annual maintenance contract (AMC) for ten years.</p>
<p>According to BHEL’s pre-qualification criteria for the tender, bidders must be original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with service centers in India. They must have experience supplying and commissioning at least ten 2.5 MW PCUs for solar projects in India in the last three years.</p>
<p>BHEL also said that during the technical evaluation, the credentials of the vendor would be submitted to NTPC for final approval. It added that only the price bids of technically qualified vendors approved by the NTPC would be considered for further processing.</p>
<p>Recently, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-tender-string-monitoring-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> the tender for the supply of 104 string monitoring boxes, four wireless receiver systems for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and other spare components for NTPC Limited’s 20 MW solar project in Gandhar.</p>
<p>Previously, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-module-mounting-tender-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> a request for a quotation for the supply of module mounting structures for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s solar projects in the state. The quotations have been invited for the supply of 720 metric tons of superstructures of module mounting for a 75 MW solar PV project at Dhuvaran in Gujarat. The materials supplied should have a warranty of 18 months.</p>
<p>A few months ago, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-tender-gujarat-charanka-solar-park/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> an operation and maintenance tender for a 15 MW solar project at Charanka solar park in Gujarat. The project belongs to Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd.</p>
