<p><a href="http://orangerenewable.net/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Orange Renewable</a>, a subsidiary of Singapore-based AT Holdings Pte. Ltd, has commissioned solar projects totaling 140 MW in India. These projects are in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat.</p>
<p>According to the company, the 40 MW (Charanka Solar Park, Gujarat) and 100 MW (Dhule, Maharashtra) projects were bagged through a competitive bidding process in 2016 conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the nodal agency for implementation of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) programs for developing grid-connected solar power capacity through Variable Gap Funding (VGF) model in the country.</p>

It is immensely gratifying to bring value and positive impact on the lives of many through sustainable clean energy solutions,&#8221; said Mr. Hemant Tikoo, Executive Committee Member, Orange Renewable.</p>

<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Orange Renewable had won the bid to develop 100 MW of solar in Dhule, Maharashtra, under NSM Phase-II, Batch 3, by quoting a  VGF of ₹4.77 million (~$73,530)/MW, with a fixed tariff of ₹4.43 (~$0.068)/kWh. The power purchase agreement (PPA) was signed in April 2016.</p>
<p>Orange Renewable had quoted a VGF of ₹7.025 million (~$0.11 million)/MW, with a fixed tariff of ₹4.43 (~$0.068)/kWh to develop 40 MW at the Charanka Solar Park, under NSM Phase-II, Batch 4. The PPA was signed in August 2016.</p>
<p>According to Mercom India Research, both the projects had been completed by September 30, 2017. After successful project inspection, the company has issued a release declaring that the projects have been commissioned.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mercom India Solar Project Tracker</a></em>, cumulative installations in India have now surpassed 17 GW with over 7 GW installed in 2017 to date.</p>
