					</table><p>Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:</p>
<p><strong>The Ministry of Power (</strong><a href="https://powermin.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>MoP</strong></a><strong>), in a recent notification, appointed the Power System Operation Corporation (</strong><a href="https://posoco.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>POSOCO</strong></a><strong>) as the Central Nodal Agency to set up and operate a single-window green energy open access system</strong> for renewable energy. The notification is in line with the recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/no-load-limit-energy-open-access-captive-consumers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> Electricity (Promoting Renewable Energy through Green Energy Open Access) Rules, 2022. The nodal agency is expected to allow all applications for open access to green energy within 15 days.</p>
<p><strong>The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (</strong><a href="https://mnre.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>MNRE)</strong></a><strong> issued an invitation for proposals from educational, research institutions/training institutions/universities, researchers, and reputed NGOs to implement the Human Resource Development (HRD) program.</strong> Under the program, MNRE aims to institutionalize renewable energy education and training to meet the country&#8217;s requirement of a qualified and trained workforce. The components covered under the program are Short-term training in renewable energy; Fellowships for higher studies and research in renewable energy; National Renewable Energy Internship Program; Support for educational institutions for laboratory upgradation for RE education; and Renewable Energy Chair. The application and registration details are available on the MNRE’s <a href="https://hrd.mnre.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HRD</a> website. The last date to submit applications is July 21, 2022.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.chargezone.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Charge Zone</strong></a><strong>, an electric vehicle (EV) charging network company, announced plans to introduce renewable energy for its high-speed charging network for electric buses and commercial vehicles across India.</strong> As part of this initiative, Charge Zone successfully deployed its first 200 kW solar rooftop for Ashok Leyland’s electric buses in Patna, which can source 20% of its daily energy requirements through green energy. The company expects to cover at least 25 cities with renewable energy-powered charging stations for electric buses and commercial vehicles.</p>
<p><strong>Solar Corporation of India (SECI) </strong><a href="https://www.seci.co.in/whats-new-detail/2334" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the annulment of the tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 44 MW ground-based solar power plant</strong> at different sites, including ten years of plant operation and maintenance at Singareni Collieries Company Limited, Telangana. SECI <a href="https://mercomindia.com/daily-news-wrap-up-seci-issue-tender-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> the tender in March this year.</p>
<p><strong>SECI </strong><a href="https://www.seci.co.in/whats-new-detail/2333" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the annulment of the tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and O&amp;M of the 22 MW</strong> overburden dump-based solar power plant at Ramagundam Opencast (RG OC) 1 at the state-owned Singareni Collieries Company, Telangana. SECI <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-tender-22-mw-solar-project-singareni-collieries/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> the tender in May 2022.</p>
<p><strong>SECI </strong><a href="https://www.seci.co.in/whats-new-detail/2335" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the annulment of the tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 100 MW floating solar power project</strong> having ten years of plant O&amp;M at Getalsud Dam in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The tender was <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-epc-tender-floating-solar-jharkhand/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> in February 2022.</p>
<p><strong>Endesa, a Spain-based multinational electric utility company, through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power España (EGPE), </strong><a href="https://www.endesa.com/es/prensa/sala-de-prensa/noticias/transicion-energetica/renovables/endesa-construye-1130-mw-nuevos-proyectos-renovables-espana-4200-puestos-trabajo" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> that it is building 27 renewable projects in Spain</strong> with a capacity of more than 1,130 MW. The projects are expected to employ over 4,200 professionals. All the renewable projects are proposed under a Shared Value Creation approach. The objective of this is to achieve the maximum integration and rootedness of the project with the environment, maximizing the value they can leave in the local community through initiatives carried out in a participatory manner.</p>
