<p>The government of India is looking to add another 10 MW of solar to its pipeline by issuing five tenders through the Indian Oil Corporation, Military Engineering Services, and the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh. These projects will be developed at locations across India.</p>
<p><strong>Indian Oil Corporation Limited</strong></p>
<p>The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) tendered a 1 MW solar project to be developed at the premises of IOCL’s Digboi Refinery in Assam.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. The successful bidder will also provide five years’ post warranty comprehensive annual maintenance.</p>
<p>The IOCL also tendered a 2 MW grid-connected solar project with horizontal single-axis solar tracking system and net-metering facility at Indian Oil LPG Bottling Plant in Madanpur Khadar, Delhi.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) inclusive of 1-Year comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of the project. The successful bidder will also provide O&amp;M services for another four years.</p>
<p>The project completion timeframe is 18 months from the date of contract award.</p>
<p>Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/indian-oil-corporation-tender-15-mw-solar-rooftop/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> earlier that the IOCL was awaiting management’s approval to tender 15 MW of rooftop solar.</p>
<p><strong>Military Engineering Services </strong></p>
<p>The Military Engineering Services (MES) tendered a total of 6 MW of solar in two separate tenders.</p>
<p>The MES tendered a 1 MW grid-connected solar project to be developed in Ambala, Chandigarh Zone. The bid-submission deadline is. The estimated project cost is ₹81.4 million (~$1.3 million) and the project completion timeframe is six months from the date of issue of letter of award.</p>
<p>The MES also tendered a 5 MW grid-connected solar project in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. The bid-submission deadline is September 26, 2017. The estimated project cost is ₹290 million (~$4.5 million) and the project completion timeframe is 365 days from the date the letter of award is issued.</p>
<p>The scope of work for both includes design, engineering, supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of the project.</p>
<p><strong>New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh </strong></p>
<p>The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) tendered a 1 MW grid-connected solar project with seasonal tracking on behalf of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada. The bid-submission deadline is September 12, 2017.</p>
<p>The project will be developed in Pathapadu Village, Vijayawada, and the scope of work includes design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. The successful bidder will also provide O&amp;M services for a 10-year period. Five acres of land has been earmarked for the project.</p>
<p>This is an engineering procurement construction (EPC) contract and the project will be developed under a net-metering basis for captive utilization of power by Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada.</p>
<p>The project will be synchronized with 33/11 KV, Pathapadu substation of APSPDCL on a separate feeder. The successful bidder will provide necessary connection line from the project site to the substation by constructing a bay. The APSPDCL has already issued grid feasibility for connecting the proposed solar power project. It is estimated that the commissioning work will be completed within four months from the date of handing over of site or issue of letter of award.</p>
<p>Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/vikram-solar-commissions-10-mw-solar-project-tirumala-tirupati-devasthanams-ttd-andhra-pradesh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously reported</a> that in April 2017, Vikram Solar had commissioned a 10 MW solar project for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Andhra Pradesh.</p>
