					</table><p>Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (<a href="https://www.hindustanpetroleum.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HPCL</a>) has invited bids for the operation, maintenance, and repair of a 1.2 MW solar power project at its Mangalore LPG import facility in Karnataka, including all the string module boxes, inverter units, 1.2 MVA transformers, and 11 kV vacuum circuit breakers at the solar site and outside substation, and associated panels in the substation.</p>
<p>The contract will be valid for one year from the commencement of services.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is October 28, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit 1% of the total contract value as a security deposit within 15 days of the tender&#8217;s acceptance.</p>
<p>The successful bidder must furnish 10% of the contract value as a composite performance bank guarantee.</p>
<p>To be eligible, bidders should have a diploma in electrical or instrumentation engineering along with a supervisor&#8217;s competency license, with a minimum of two years of experience in substation maintenance. Out of the two years, one year&#8217;s experience should be in 33 kV or above capacity.</p>
<p>Alternatively, bidders should have an Industrial Technical Institute certification in electricals with a minimum of three years of experience in substation maintenance, out of which one year should be in 33 kV or above capacity.</p>
<p>The consultant will be solely responsible for employing the workforce to execute the job.</p>
<p>If work is delayed beyond the contractual delivery date, the owner will be entitled to a price reduction at 0.5% of the total contract value for each week of delay, subject to a maximum of 5% of the total contract value.</p>
<p>In June this year, HPCL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/hindustan-petroleum-bids-2-39-mw-solar-projects-13-locations/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install 2.39 MWdc of ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems at 13 HPCL locations across the country.</p>
<p>Earlier, HPCL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/hpcl-solar-tender-karnataka/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to develop a 1.3 MW ground-mounted solar project at its Yediyur receiving station in the Tumakuru district of Karnataka.</p>

Hindustan Petroleum Floats O&M Tender for 1.2 MW Solar Project in Karnataka

<p>The Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (<a href="https://www.kioclltd.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">KIOCL</a>), a flagship company under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India (GoI), has floated a tender to supply solar power through wheeling for its manufacturing unit in Mangalore.</p>
<p>The solar power will be purchased for KIOCL’s Pelletisation Complex and Pig Iron Complex located at Baikampady Industrial Area in Mangalore. The unit engaged in the business of manufacturing and exporting iron oxide pellets and the supply of pig iron for the domestic market.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is April 6, 2020. Interested bidders are expected to pay a sum of ₹5,000 (~$66) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).</p>
<p>The tender adds that after the opening of the price bid of technically qualified bidders, if the firm quoting the lowest tariff (L-1) withdraws from the tender, then the EMD will stand forfeited. As far as the pre-qualification criteria are concerned, the interested bidder should have the consent to wheel the energy and should have a wheeling and banking agreement with Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (<a href="https://www.mescom.org.in/SCP/Myhome.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MESCOM</a>).</p>
<p>The applicable demand charges, cross-subsidy surcharge, electricity duty, and other applicable taxes will be paid by KIOCL directly to MESCOM.</p>
<p>The prospective bidder should be able to supply a maximum of 1.3 million units every month without any break for the year 2019-20 and should be able to wheel the energy from March or April 2020. According to the tender document, the contract period is for four months from the date of receiving the Letter of Intent (LoI).</p>
<p>Previously, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (<a href="https://mrpl.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MRPL</a>), a subsidiary of India’s state Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC), commissioned solar projects aggregating 6.063 MW within the MRPL refinery premises in Mangalore, Karnataka. MRPL tendered the capacity in <a href="https://mercomindia.com/36-4-mw-small-solar-tenders-announced-india-last-week/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">September 2017</a>.</p>
<p>Also, last year, ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals (OMPL), a greenfield petrochemicals project promoted by ONGC and MRPL, had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-mangalore-petrochemicals-tender-floating-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited bids</a> for a grid-interactive floating solar project of 2 MW capacity to be installed in its premises.</p>

KIOCL Issues Tender for Non-Captive Solar Power for its Manufacturing Unit in Mangalore

<p>Bosch, a supplier of technology and services, has commissioned a <a href="http://www.boschindia.com/en/in/newsroom_5/news_5/news-detail-page_51392.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">4 MW solar project</a> at the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT). Bosch Energy and Building Solutions executed the project.</p>
<p>The project will deliver close to 20,000 units of electricity per day for captive consumption by NMPT. The project is expected to reduce CO2 emissions to the tune of nearly 4,100 tons per annum.</p>
<p>“The design of the solar project is such that it will allow for future expansion of the project,” said Mr. Venugopalan CM, head, Bosch Energy and Building Solutions.</p>
<p>Bosch views airports and seaports as a focus area for providing energy solutions, and this seaport project is the latest feather in its cap.</p>
<p>Major ports in India are setting up solar projects to become energy self-sufficient under SECI’s port solarization program. The SECI has set a target of 11.19 MW of solar for the NMPT.</p>
