<p>The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (<a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-commissions-10mw-solar-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ONGC</a>), a government-owned oil and gas company, has floated a 5 MW tender along with seven years of operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) at its premises in the state of Gujarat.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is February 11, 2020, while a pre-bid conference will be held on January 20, 2020.</p>
<p>The projects must be installed on a lump sum turnkey basis along with seven years of operation and maintenance at ONGC Hazira in Surat, Gujarat. The contract period for this tender is 12 months.</p>
<p>The interested bidders need to furnish ₹3.6 million (~$49,895) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).</p>
<p>The scope of work includes project management, pre-engineering surveys, detailed design and engineering, procurement, supply, storage, dismantling, modification of existing facilities, and hydro-testing.</p>
<p>ONGC has announced several solar tenders in the past year for captive consumption.</p>
<p>In November 2019, Mercom reported that ONGC <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-commissions-10mw-solar-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> a tender for the construction and installation of a 15 MW solar project at its Vagra site in Bharuch district of Gujarat.</p>
<p>Then in August 2019, ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals (OMPL), a greenfield petrochemicals project promoted by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and its subsidiary, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-commissions-10mw-solar-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">invited</a> bids for a grid-interactive floating solar project of 2 MW capacity to be installed in its premises.</p>
<p>In 2018, the company had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-commissions-10mw-solar-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> a tender for a 5 MW grid-connected solar project to be developed at its Tatipaka site, located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. In the same year, it also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-commissions-10mw-solar-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">commissioned</a> a 10 MW solar project to power its plants at Dhaej, Gandhar, and Hazira, located in the state of Gujarat.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Gujarat has 2.3 GW large-scale solar projects in operations. According to Mercom India Research, ONGC has 15 MW of large-scale solar projects in operation.</p>
