<p>NTPC SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), tendered a 25 MW solar photovoltaic power project to be developed in Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The bid-submission deadline is December 22, 2017.</p>
<p>The 25 MW solar PV project will be developed in the vicinity of Kulti Steel Plant (KSP) at Kulti District, Paschim Bardhaman in West Bengal. This is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) tender.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes, design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging and forwarding, transportation, unloading storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project based on open category PV modules and cells. In addition, the bidder will provide comprehensive operation &amp; maintenance (O&amp;M) of the project and transmission systems for a period of five years from the date of successful completion of the trial run.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also be responsible for associated electrical and civil works required for interfacing with customer grid (transformers, breakers, isolators, panels, protection system, cables. metering at 33 kV level, earthing etc.) along with associated Transmission System for evacuation of power to 33 kV Substation at Kulti Township by means of a double circuit 33 kV overhead lines/cables (each of 2X75 percent capacity i.e. 18.75 MW capacity).</p>
<p>The NSPCL will finance the project through its own resources.</p>
<p>In 2017, the NSPCL has been aggressively tendering solar projects and according to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, NSPCL has tendered 77 MW of solar prior to this tender.</p>
<p>In May 2017, NSPCL tendered <a href="https://mercomindia.com/50-mw-solar-project-tendered-salem-steel-plant-tamil-nadu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">50 MW</a> of solar to be developed at SAIL’s Salem Steel Plant, in Tamil Nadu and a <a href="https://mercomindia.com/20-mw-solar-project-tendered-durgapur-steel-plant-west-bengal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">20 MW</a> solar project at the Durgapur Steel Plant in West Bengal. In October 2017, NSPCL tendered a <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-tenders-22-mw-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">7 MW</a> solar power project to be developed in the vicinity of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) at Bhilai, District Durg in Chhattisgarh.</p>
