					</table><p>Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (<a href="https://www.lmrcl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UPMRCL</a>) has invited bids to install and commission 1 MW of rooftop solar systems at the Kanpur metro project.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance of the project for five years.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project is ₹40 million (~$502,052), and it must be completed within six months from the letter of award.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is September 28, 2022. Bids will be opened the following day.</p>
<p>The successful bidder must furnish an amount equivalent to 3% of the contract value within 30 days of the acceptance letter.</p>
<p>The size of each project should be in the range of 10 kW to 400 kW or more on each rooftop unit and can separately connect with the grid and may have separate energy meters.</p>
<p>Bidders should have successfully executed one similar work of value greater than ₹32 million (~$401,642) or 800 kW, or two similar works, each of value greater than ₹20 million (~$251,026) or 500 kW, or three similar works, each of value greater than ₹16 million (~$200,821) or 400 kW.</p>
<p>Bidders should have liquidity equal to ₹11.4 million (~$143,085) for the contract. They must have a positive net worth in the last two financial years. Their average annual turnover in the last five financial years should be at least ₹64 million (~$803,283).</p>
<p>The successful bidder should ensure the project&#8217;s minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 12%.</p>
<p>If the contractor fails to complete the work on time, liquidated damages at 0.5% per week of the contract value of work for every week of delay, subject to a maximum of 10% of the contract value, will apply.</p>
<p>The predicted electrical degradation of power generated should not exceed 20% of the minimum rated power over the 25-year period and not more than 10% after the first ten years of the full rated original output.</p>
<p>Last month, UPMRCL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/uttar-pradesh-metro-bids-2-mw-rooftop-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install and commission 2 MW of rooftop solar systems on depots and stations of the Lucknow metro project.</p>
<p>Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/uperc-noida-metro-install-rooftop-solar-net-metering/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">allowed</a> the Noida Metro Rail Corporation to install 10 MW of rooftop solar power projects with a net metering facility.</p>
