Singh has held a series of meetings where it was stressed that all stakeholders should do adequate planning to prevent a situation in which one state has surplus power while another state faces power shortages.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/guvnl-to-procure-power-o2-power/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission has, in a recent order, adopted the tariff of </strong><strong>₹</strong><strong>2.81 ($0.033)/kWh quoted by TEQ Green Power, a subsidiary of O2 Power, developing a 200 MW solar project at the Dholera Solar Park.</strong></a> The order was in response to a petition filed by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited concerning the bidding process conducted on March 18, 2020, to procure power from Dholera Solar Park. Of the quoted capacity of 500 MW, TEQ Green was allocated 200 MW at ₹2.81 ($0.033)/kWh.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/inkel-tender-mounting-structures/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>INKEL, a public-private partnership initiative promoted by the Government of Kerala, has issued a tender for module mounting structures for a 3.5 MW solar power project</strong> <strong>in Mylatty of Kasaragod district in the state.</strong></a> The deadline for bid submission is April 11, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day. The tender calls for the supply of hot-dip galvanized mounting structures. These structures undergo a galvanization process involving dipping the steel components in a molten zinc bath, resulting in corrosion and rust resistance.</p>

<p>The tender calls for the supply of hot-dip galvanized mounting structures. These structures undergo a galvanization process involving dipping the steel components in a molten zinc bath, resulting in corrosion and rust resistance.</p>
<p>The scope of supply includes fabrication, machining, hot-dipping, testing, and delivery of the ground-mount solar PV module mounting structures as per approved drawings and technical specifications. The successful bidder must also provide stainless steel fasteners for module assembly and installation.</p>
<p>The project site at Mylatty will house 350 table sets, each with 30 polycrystalline PV modules in a 15&#215;2 arrangement, with an anticipated module weight of 22 kg each. The mounting structures must withstand environmental conditions for 25 years, including the ability to withstand wind speeds of up to 150 km/hr. The structures must have a minimum tilt angle of 10-13 degrees facing true south.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹50,000 (~$615) and a tender fee of ₹5,900 (~$73).</p>
<p>Bidders must be module mounting structure manufacturer or their authorized dealers. They should have supplied mounting structures for solar projects of more than 5,000 kW capacity in the last three financial years. They must have an annual turnover of ₹10 million (~$123,000) or more in the preceding five financial years.</p>
<p>The successful bidder can expect a payment schedule with 5% as an advance against a bank guarantee, 50% on delivery of materials at the site, and the remaining 45% upon site acceptance testing and the goods receipt note.</p>
<p>Last year, INKEL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/kerala-invites-bids-solar-power-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to select a contractor to supply the balance of system items, installation, and commissioning of 2.7 MW grid-connected ground mount solar projects in the state.</p>
<p>In 2022, it <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/empanelment-tender-14-mw-wind-power-projects-kerala" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to develop 14 MW of wind power projects at Ozhalapathy and Vadakarapathy in the Palakkad district of Kerala.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/orsted-eversource-offshore-seabed-625-million" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Denmark-based renewable energy developer Ørsted has inked a $625 million deal to buy out Eversource Energy’s 50% stake in a federal offshore wind lease area they currently co-own.</strong></a> The deal also covers contracts and partnerships for essential operational assets in the U.S. Northeast. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2023. The lease area, ‘Lease 500,’ covers about 187,000 acres of uncontracted seabed and can produce up to 4 GW of power. The joint venture will be in Bryan County, Savannah, Georgia, adjacent to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, which is under construction. <p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/namibia-greenlights-green-hydrogen-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>The Government of the Republic of Namibia approved the government’s entry into a $10 billion Feasibility and Implementation agreement with Hyphen Hydrogen Energy</strong></a> to develop, implement, and operate Sub-Saharan Africa’s first large green hydrogen project as part of the government’s green hydrogen strategy. Hyphen Hydrogen Energy is a Namibian registered green hydrogen development company specifically formed to develop green hydrogen projects in Namibia for international, regional, and domestic supply.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/stora-enso-1-billion-green-bonds" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Renewable materials-based paper and packaging solutions company Stora Enso has issued two green bonds worth €500 million (~$536 million) each under its Euro Medium Term Note program.</strong></a> These bonds will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. These bonds aim to raise funds for eligible projects and assets that contribute to the transition towards a low-carbon and environmentally sustainable society, aligning with the Helsinki-based Stora Enso’s sustainability agenda and goals. The eligible asset categories include renewable energy, waste to energy, energy efficiency, and pollution control.</p>

<p>The project’s estimated cost is ₹13.7 million (~$166,103). It must be completed within eight months of the site handover.</p>
<p>The last date for the <strong>1.2 MW solar project</strong> to submit bids is June 2, 2023. Bids will be opened the next day.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project is ₹11.5 million (~$139,189). The project must be completed within four months from the site handover.</p>
<p>Bidders have to furnish an amount of ₹50,000 (~$605.15) as an earnest money deposit each.</p>
<p>The successful bidder has to submit 5% of the total contract value as a performance security deposit for each project.</p>
<p>Bidders must have completed contracts of a similar nature in the last seven years.</p>
<p>They must have one project that amounts to 80% of the Price at Completion (PAC) of the tendered work or two projects that amount to 60% of the PAC, or three projects that amount to 40% of the PAC.</p>
<p>Similar work refers to the supply of BOS items along with the installation and commissioning of grid-connected ground-mount solar systems.</p>
<p>Bidders should have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹10 million (~$121,037) for the last five financial years.</p>

Kerala Invites Bids for 2.7 MW Solar Power Projects

					</table><p><a href="https://www.inkel.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">INKEL</a>, a public-private partnership initiative promoted by the Government of Kerala, has invited bids to develop 14 MW of wind power projects at Ozhalapathy and Vadakarapathy in the Palakkad district of Kerala.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes manufacturing, inspection at supplier&#8217;s works, supply, storage at site, insurance, transport, erection, testing, and commissioning of 14 MW of wind power projects along with a power evacuation system, including the approval for connectivity.</p>
<p>The scope also includes performance guarantee test, operation, and maintenance (O&amp;M) for ten years. The selected developer must also provide a one-year warranty for the entire wind power project from the commercial operation date and transfer of warranty of specific equipment by the original equipment manufacturer, as applicable, after the O&amp;M period to INKEL.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is October 15, 2022.</p>
<p>The contract&#8217;s validity will be for two years from empanelment, after which INKEL will review the applicants for a renewal. INKEL will reserve the right to update the empanelment list for any of the categories by adding any qualifying companies in the future or removing any non-performing company from the empanelment list at any stage.</p>
<p>Bidders should have completed three similar works of rated capacity not less than a cumulative capacity of 6 MW of wind turbine generators or two similar works of rated capacity not less than a cumulative capacity of 8 MW of wind turbine generators. Alternatively, they should have completed at least one similar work of rated capacity not less than a cumulative capacity of 12 MW of wind turbine generators during the last seven years.</p>
<p>Similar work means engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for a rated capacity of 5 MW of wind turbine generators at a single location or owning and operating at least 50 MW of wind power projects.</p>
<p>Bidders&#8217; average annual turnover during the last three financial years should be at least ₹500 million (~$6.09 million).</p>
<p>The wind turbine generators offered by the contractors should be type-approved and listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.</p>
<p>In May this year, Kerala State Electricity Board <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bids-for-developing-65-mw-of-wind-projects-in-kerala/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a request for the selection of developers to set up 65 MW of grid-connected wind power projects in Kerala under tariff-based competitive bidding.</p>
