<p>Oil major <a href="https://iocl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Indian Oil Corporation Limited</a> (IOCL) has floated a tender for 1,050 kW of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at <a href="https://www.iocl.com/AboutUs/GuwahatiRefinery.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Guwahati Refinery</a>.</p>
<p>The last date for submission of the bids is August 26, 2019.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the site survey, design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, fabrication, inspection, transportation, storage, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and performance guarantee test run of the projects. It also includes the operation and maintenance of 1,050 kW of solar PV projects.</p>
<p>Interested bidders need to pay an amount of ₹686,470 (~$9,864) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).</p>
<p>Regarding the technical criteria, interested bidders should have carried out the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-grid solar power systems or either rooftop or landscape projects during the last five years.</p>
<p>According to the IOCL, the annual turnover of the prospective bidders during the preceding three financial years should be at least ₹30,832,200 (~$443,055).</p>
<p>The IOCL has specified that the purchase preference linked with local content should be in tune with the Make in India campaign.</p>
<p>Earlier this year, the IOCL had issued a <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ioc-epc-tender-2-mw-of-solar-maharashtras-dhanaj/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">similar tender</a> calling for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 2 MW grid-interactive and ground-mounted captive solar power project at its LPG bottling plant, located at Dhanaj, in Washim district of Maharashtra.</p>
<p><a href="https://mercomindia.com/indian-oil-floats-epc-tender/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mercom</a> reported earlier that IOCL floated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction of two grid-connected rooftop captive solar projects in Uttar Pradesh. While one project of 85 kW capacity is to be located at its Agra terminal, the other is to be located at Aonla depot in Bareilly district with a capacity of 120 kW.</p>
<p>Another leading public sector undertaking, <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ongc-commissions-10mw-solar-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited</a> (ONGC) recently commissioned a 10 MW solar project which will power its plants at Dhaej, Gandhar, and Hazira located in the state of Gujarat.</p>
