<p><a href="https://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/DE/Home/home_node.html;jsessionid=9E3C6380765F791612F2CD26B50DA0CC" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bundesnetzagentur</a>, the German Federal Network Agency, has invited bids for 1.125 GW of solar projects on arable and grassland areas in select states of Germany. The ground-mounted solar projects are a part of the three-phased tender totaling 3.6 GW which the agency had announced earlier this year.</p>
<p>Bids must be submitted by June 1, 2022. Bids will be opened the same day.</p>
<p>The bidding fee is €624 (~$658). Bidders must submit a security deposit of €50 (~$53)/kW.</p>
<p>The tariff cap for the tender is €0.057 (~$0.0631)/kWh.</p>
<p>Saarland state has been allotted the highest number of projects at 350 MW, followed by Rhineland-Palatinate with 200 MW. Saxony has been allotted 180 MW, followed by Lower Saxony with 150 MW<strong>. </strong>Baden-Württemberg and Saxony-Anhalt have been allotted 100 MW projects each.</p>
<p>Hesse state has been allotted the lowest capacity (35 MW).</p>
<p>Last month, the Federal Network Agency of Germany <a href="https://mercomindia.com/germany-1-08-gw-solar-projects-march-auction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to develop 1,108 MW of solar projects and 275 MW of biomass systems. The highest number of projects in the tender totaled 488 MW and were allotted to Bavaria, followed by 223 MW to the Rhineland-Palatinate state. The tariffs for the accepted bids were between €0.1218 (~$0.13)/kWh and €0.18 (~$0.20)/kWh.</p>
<p>In August 2021, the German agency <a href="https://mercomindia.com/germany-solar-storage-auction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> the winners in the 250 MW solar innovation auction. Sixteen solar and storage projects totaling 156 MW in capacity were announced as the winners in the process. The average tariff of the allotted projects was €0.0455 (~$0.0532)/kWh.</p>
<p>Earlier in 2021, the agency <a href="https://mercomindia.com/germany-allocates-solar-projects-auction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">auctioned</a> 665 MW of solar projects. It selected 95 ground-mounted solar projects with 513.25 MW capacity. The lowest bid quoted for the ground-mounted solar tender was €0.046 (~$0.055)/kWh, and the highest bid was €0.059 (~$0.070)/kWh.</p>
