<p>The Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (<a href="http://www.hpgcl.org.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HPGCL</a>) has invited fresh bids to install 57 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects at three sites in the state.</p>
<p>This is a retender of the capacity that was <a href="https://mercomindia.com/haryana-tenders-solar-projects-three-locations/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> in September2019.</p>
<p>The tender has been floated for a 30 MW solar project at the new ash dyke area, Faridabad Thermal Power Station (FTPS) in Faridabad, a 15 MW project at Deenbandhu Chotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamuna Nagar, and a 12 MW solar project at Western Yamuna Canal, also in Yamuna Nagar.</p>
<p>The projects will be developed on a build, operate, and transfer (BOT) basis. Besides the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the projects, the contract will also include operation and maintenance for 25 years.  The projects should be completed within ten months from the date of issuance of the letter of intent (LoI). The last date for the submission of bids is October 08, 2020, and the pre-bid meeting will take place on September 24, 2020. The ceiling tariff has been fixed at ₹3.30 (~$0.04)/kWh.</p>
<p>Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹1 million (~$13,563)/MW of the total capacity as the earnest money deposit (EMD). The EMD would be ₹30 million (~$406,899) for the 30 MW project at FTPS Faridabad, ₹15 million (~$203,449) for 15 MW project at Yamuna Nagar site, and ₹12 million (~$162,760) for the 12 MW project at WYC, Yamuna Nagar. To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have experience of executing a single project of 5 MW capacity, or two projects of 3 MW each, or three projects of 2 MW each. The projects should have been commissioned after November 01, 2013, and should have been in operation for at least one year on the date of bid submission.</p>
<p>Regarding the financial criteria, the average annual turnover of the bidder for the last three financial years should be ₹6 million (~$81,379).</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Haryana has a total of 87.8 MW of solar projects in operation and 662 MW of projects in the pipeline, as of June 2020.</p>
<p>In October last year, Haryana Power Generation Corporation had also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/haryana-floats-solar-tender-faridabad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced</a> a tender for 20 MW of ground-mounted solar power projects at the old ash dyke area at Faridabad Thermal Power Station.</p>
